Hampden Park Lib Dems are celebrating the news that a new Post Office is set to open in Brassey Parade.

Local Cllr Mary Pooley said, "I am thrilled that after many months of campaigning we have achieved success. Local post offices play a vital role in our community and I am delighted to see that a post office will be returning to Brassey Parade."

New local Lib Dem MEP Sharon Bowles had given her backing to the fight to re-open a Post Office in Hampden Park. Sharon said, "I am pleased the Post Office management has listened to the voices of local people. Much credit must go to Cllr Mary Pooley and Lib Dem campaigner Stephen Lloyd on their hard fight over many months to get back a Post Office for local residents."
