"More school places are needed in Eastbourne" says David Tutt

Cllr David Tutt has strongly criticised the County Council after more than ninety local children transferring to Secondary school failed to obtain a place at Bishop Bell (their 1st choice of school).

David, the Lib Dem Councillor for St Anthony's, has asked the County Council for guarantees that this would not be repeated in the future. He has been promised by the Conservative Cabinet Member responsible for schools that the situation was being looked into and would not happen again.

David and the local Lib Dems are campaigning for a new school to be built to help accommodate the increasing number of pupils in the town. David Tutt said, "Local parents should be able to send their children to a local school. The Council must act to increase school provision in Eastbourne."
