Local Lib Dem County Councillor Beryl Healy is angry that the Conservative-run County Council has only received "one star" for its adult social care.

Speaking at a recent County Council meeting, Beryl Healy slammed the Conservatives for the poor adult social care service they are providing to Eastbourne's residents.

Beryl said: "The County Council has been awarded just one out of a possible three stars for its social care for adults.Five years ago the Conservatives said their target was to get three stars for adult care, but they have continually failed to achieve this."

"When confronted with this in Council, all the Conservative Lead member could do was to laugh it off and say that 'at least they got one star'."

Eastbourne's Lib Dem Parliamentary Campaigner Stephen Lloyd added: "This is simply awful news for Eastbourne residents."

"We have a duty to provide proper care and support for adults as well as children and yet again the Tories are letting us all down."
