Lib Dem campaigners are pledging to DOUBLE recycling rates by 2011 if elected to run the Council in May.

Liberal Democrats are pledging positive action on recycling and a number of other green issues.

Lib Dem campaigner Rebecca M commented, "The Tories have failed to really improve recycling locally, and continue to just talk about the environment, but always fail to do anything. Now is the time for action."

"A Lib-Dem run Borough Council would also tackle other green issues such as protecting our many open spaces and reducing air pollution."
